The NASC National Conference is open to:
Group/state delegations are groups of attendees who travel with their state association or with an adviser or other official adult designee. The group’s state director, adviser, or official designee coordinates payment for the entire group, and attendees submit their registration fees to that individual directly. The state director, adviser or official designee in turn sends payment to NASC. Group/state delegates register on a first-come, first-served basis.
To ensure that each state can bring their state/district officers to participate in the state officer training during the conference, each state association is guaranteed five spaces. The total number of officers attending and payment will be coordinated through the state executive director. The officers will need to register online and send their registration fees to the state director. The state director in turn will send payment to NASC. All delegates outside of the state officer count must register on a first-come, first-served basis.
The high school adviser/student ratio is at least one adviser per 12 students; the middle level adviser/student ratio is one adviser per 10 students. Advisers from one school may take responsibility for students from other schools, as long as the ratio is maintained.
NASC delegates must be members of their school's student council. All students must have an adult adviser directly responsible for them. This adult may be the current council adviser, an adviser from another school, or an official of the state association for Student Council, as long as the individual who is responsible for that student is in attendance onsite throughout the conference and is identified on the delegate's official registration form.
There are no restrictions on the number of students and/or advisers allowed from a school and/or state.
